The nature education trails included here in this web portal describe a great number of nature-relevant and cultural-historical issues in highly diverse regions and landscapes in Austria. They provide adventure and a lot of fun but also information. Nature education trails present animal and plant species and explain ecological connections and interactions. They tell us about people’s problems and needs nowadays as well as in former times, about their working conditions and production methods. In their descriptions the Celts, Teutonic tribes, the Romans, knights and witches but also miners, poachers, raftsmen, writers and composers become alive again.
